HEATHER BROOKS

I couldn’t be happier with the decision that I’ve made to get porcelain veneers. Throughout my life I’ve always been unhappy with the appearance of my teeth. But now when I look at them, I sometimes forget that I’m looking at veneers. They’re so natural looking, I feel that these are the teeth I should have always had. I smile much more than I ever have before. The best part about the veneers is they feel, work and look so natural. Even today many people don’t realize what I’ve done to my teeth. People in my own family think the veneers are natural. If you’re embarrassed by your teeth or feel that your smile is just not the smile you should have had, veneers are the ultimate solution. I would highly recommend that you check out the lifechanging procedure and call the office of Dr. Ryerson and Gillespie today. Your Hollywood smile is just seven digits away.

I couldn’t believe the reaction of my friends and my family. My face has a whole different appearance! My friends at work were just about in tears, they were so excited for me. There are people who talk to me and keep looking at my teeth. Some people look me up and down and can’t figure out what is different about me, at first. The first Sunday after I had my temporaries put on, my husband and I were getting ready to go somewhere after church, and he walked through and he whistled at me. I said, “What are you whistling at?” and he said, “You. You look pretty.” And I couldn’t believe it, just out of the blue like that! And a few other times he’s told me how good I look or whistled at me, and that made me feel good. My new smile has really changed how I feel. It was worth every bit of it. It was a little pain initially, but the staff kept me comfortable. It’s been well worth it.

I have always been a person who notices people’s teeth. I think other people maybe look at hair, eyes, hands, but I’ve always looked at people’s teeth, and I’ve always felt very self-conscious of my teeth. As a child my front two teeth were larger and I was made fun of a little bit. I remember the first day in Dr. Ryerson’s office when we made the molds. Dr. Ryerson allowed me to look at the molds and we discussed his vision of what my teeth should look like. He didn’t rush me through that process. He allowed me time alone to study the cast molds and to change them a little bit. Dr. Ryerson was really patient and helped me understand what was best for my teeth and also considered what I wanted. I couldn’t be happier with the results. The compliments keep coming and that just makes me feel so good. Especially when I’m having a conversation with a new person, it has really boosted my self-esteem and I feel very, very confident and happy about the way I look.

I had been thinking about getting cosmetic dentistry for over three years, but financial reasons kept me from doing it right away. When I was able to pull my finances together, I made an appointment with Dr. Ryerson. I had been going to Dr. Ryerson for about 10 years. I remember the first time I came in I was so nervous. When I sat down in the chair and Dr. Ryerson looked at my mouth, I started to cry. I was so intimidated because I had such bad experiences as a child, but Dr. Ryerson is so good at what he does! The veneers helped so much—my teeth were crowded which made them even more cavity prone and the enamel on my teeth was gradually wearing away. The veneers improved the crowding and improved my overall dental health. I can take care of my teeth better and I’m no longer worried when I smile. I can just be myself and feel very confident. This process has not only benefited me professionally, but also on a personal level. I know now how much confidence a smile can give anyone.

I met Dr. Ryerson 25 years ago. I started coming to him the first month he was in business. I had lots of challenges with my teeth and gums, including periodontal problems and just genetically bad teeth. I had lots of spaces and very small teeth and several teeth were missing. Close to 20 years ago, we did some bonding on my teeth when my gums were not as healthy as they should be. I really didn’t want to go in and do anything expensive with not knowing the outcome of my gums or if my teeth were going to hold up and stay in. I went to the periodontist and got my gums in shape while Dr. Ryerson had the opportunity to replace the old bonding with beautiful porcelain veneers. As part of my profession I am a hair and make-up artist for the entertainment industry and I work a lot in Nashville. I am constantly around picture perfect stars, so my porcelain veneers make me more comfortable and confident. Before, I was really reluctant to smile because I thought my teeth were ugly, but it’s so wonderful to have a smile to be proud of.

I have been contemplating having my teeth veneered for quite some time. I had actually seen two dentists prior to seeing Dr. Ryerson, but I was never comfortable with the other dentists. I have seen a lot of people with veneers that just looked very thick. I knew my teeth were not pretty, but I didn’t want them to look fake or unnatural. Dr. Ryerson made me feel comfortable, that he had the knowledge to do the veneers correctly. He explained that he and his staff had been to many different clinics and were exceptionally trained. He made me feel very relaxed that he was confident to do the job correctly and I am so glad that I did. I talked to other patients of Dr. Ryerson and they were so happy with their veneers that it made me want to do it even more. My family just thinks I look wonderful. My sisters tried to convince me for years to have some dental work done. I was so apprehensive about getting this done but I’m thrilled at how beautiful my smile is now.
