NEXT YOU
MUST KNOW US.
WHERE DO YOU STAND; WHERE DO WE STAND?
Many people have an accurate sense of where
they are, how healthy their mouth is, and what kind
of care they need; but quite a few are in the unsuspecting
souls group. You can only truly know which group “you
fit in” by going through a complete exam, which
is the way you enter our practice. Our purpose is not
to over-diagnose or overtreat, but to provide an accurate
appraisal without overlooking or missing anything.
We have asked ourselves the questions, “Can we
be all things to all people?” and “What
kind of life and practice do we want?” and we
have decided we simply want to work with people who
are willing to make a sensible effort to save their
teeth.
HASTE MAKES WASTE.
We do not first appoint patients with our hygienist
for a cleaning, or look immediately in the mouth. By
taking enough time in the beginning to get to know each
other and establishing goals, we can reduce misunderstandings
and disappointments in the future. We want to be certain
that our time and effort, and your time and money are
well spent, and that your expectations are met. We promise
not to try to force a square peg into a round hole,
and we will be completely honest in helping you determine
where you fit, where you are, and what you want.
DO
YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT YOU WANT?
You must learn what you want and need dentally;
not just for now, but in the future. You may never have
given serious thought to what you want in the years
ahead, but unless you do, you cannot really know what
you want now. This knowledge and understanding can be
gained when we get to know each other, and you learn
about your mouth. Only after we are certain of your
goals, will we consider moving forward.
CAN WE AGREE UPON GOALS?
Most people want to have their dental disease
under control, their teeth functional, comfortable and
attractive, and to be able to keep them for a lifetime.
Most either want, or must have, low dental bills. All
these things are possible in this office, but it takes
planning, and may take an extended period of time. Therefore,
it is essential that we have short and long range goals
that we both agree upon.
DIAGNOSE YOURSELF AND FEEL CONFIDENT.
While it is essential that we diagnose your
mouth, it is really more important that you diagnose
it with our help. The extent to which you understand
your mouth determines your ability to plan your future.
In this manner, with our guidance, you can confidently
make solid, informed, predictable choices about what
you want and need.
WHERE DOES THIS LEAD US?
The above pointers serve to endorse and validate
the benefits and necessity of a complete exam. |
