THE COMPLETE EXAM
THE INITIAL INTERVIEW
The initial interview is one-on-one quiet time between
you and the doctor with the purpose of revealing and
discussing past experiences, expectations and feelings
about your mouth and dental care in general. It is also
a great opportunity to get to know each other and determine
if we are a good match.
THE CLINICAL EXAM
The clinical exam involves a thorough evaluation of
the joint, teeth and gums, an oral cancer screening,
recording of blood pressure and pulse rate, and may
involve models of your teeth and x-rays, if needed and
mutually agreed upon.
THE REVIEW OF FINDINGS
The review of findings is at the end of this exam appointment
if your dental needs and disease are minimal. If more
time is required for a full understanding, a second
appointment for reviewing information, deciding on a
plan, and explanation of fees will follow in a few days.
Through this process, we help you identify and understand
any oral problems present, and develop a solution through
treatment planning. We believe this in-depth examination
to be the cornerstone of quality dentistry and continuing
oral health.
